People use Pinterest in many creative ways by organizing their pin boards into categories such as ‘My Style’, ‘Favourite Places’ or ‘Home Decoration’. Best of all, Pinterest allows you to browse pin boards created by others.

Each time you pin a picture, you can write a short description and categorize your pin. The secret of pinning like a pro is to keep your pinboards in simple categories. Pinterest can teach you what your interest are if you have not identified them yet.

  12. Define your pins right and let others know what you are pinning exactly. Be consistent on your selection of pins.
  13. E-commerce websites, don’t forget to add your destination URL in your pin definitions. People might like to make buy the items they see.
  14. E-commerce websites, don’t forget to let your users know that you are on Pinterest. Add Pinterest icon on your website.
  15. Be careful with copyrighted materials. If you pin copyrighted material, give credit to the copyright owner by mentioning name and links.

I also suggest spreading your pins over time, pinning regularly, keeping your pins interesting and pinning new up to date content.
